AXA Bank likes cryptos? Its investment arm obtains PSAN status

Turn to modernity – Among bankers, a division is created more and more with the advent of Bitcoin (BTC) and cryptocurrencies. Some banks retrograde remain frozen years behind, like the British HSBC, which prohibits its customers from buying cryptos with their bank card (and therefore with their own money, incidentally).

On the other side of this divide, banks have fully understood the incredible challenge and opportunities brought by the revolutionary innovations of crypto-assets. There AXA Bank seems to be part of it. We indeed learn, on March 7, 2023, that the French bank has obtained the status of Digital Asset Service Provider (PSAN) with the Financial Markets Authority (AMF).

Various crypto-related services have been recorded, like the conversation crypto-assets, buying/selling cryptocurrencies with fiat currencies, and exchanges between digital assets.

As can be seen in the excerpt below from site of the AMF, it is more specifically its investment branch that is concerned: AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM). And it is of course a simple registration as a PSAN, since PSAN approval always stay with him out of reach of any actor so far (Including for a bank subsidiary obviously! At least for now).
