Monitoring and listening units for victims of harassment

Monitoring and listening units, in particular against sexist or sexual harassment, have been set up in all higher education establishments.

Whether you are a victim or a witness of harassment, you can contact them to benefit from a listening ear or support and make a report if necessary.

This unit is generally made up of a nurse, a prevention adviser, an administrative officer and a manager.

You can get in touch with the nurse by phone or email or solicit these other members directly.

The nurse is subject to professional secrecy, so you can confide in her with peace of mind, she will make sure to offer you support and support solutions; and only if you decide, she can pass the information on to the president and the general manager of services.

France victims is a federation of 130 victim support associations. The federation provides aid and assistance to victims of any criminal offence. It also manages the 116 006 victim assistance number, accessible 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The legal department of SOS Racisme

In the event of harassment with a racist connotation, you can contact dedicated associations such as SOS Racism.

Created in 1984, SOS Racisme is a French association which fights against racism, anti-Semitism and more generally all forms of discrimination.

If you decide to file a complaint, you must gather as much evidence as possible:

  • surname and first name of the author;
  • complete identity of the witnesses to ask them for a certificate relating precisely the facts;
  • any tangible proof of the manifestation of this harassment (SMS, voice message, video, email, etc.)
