Confined in lack?

Confinés en manque ? - Heyme

Confinement has reduced social interactions to nothing and therefore any sexual relations that could result. An unprecedented and difficult situation to manage both for couples and for the most hardened singles! So, are we all confined to lack? Not so sure… 2020: the sexual desert 2020, a year marked by a health crisis that has turned all of our habits upside down, including sexual ones. Barrier gestures and social distancing have been a real obstacle to human rapprochement, thus putting sexuality to the test! HEYME wanted to know more and did not hesitate to carry out its own investigation. The results showed that 64% of the respondents were in a couple in 2020, 43% were single, 6% in a free relationship, 0.7% had a polygamous relationship and 0.5% were in a threesome (couple of three). A health crisis that did not prevent 24% of respondents from having 2 to 5 sexual partners through dating applications (20%) or their social circles (24%). Sex-toys, masturbation and pornography The drop in sexual relations has revived the use of sex-toys, the use of solitary pleasure and the viewing of pornographic videos. 46% of respondents acquired sex toys or sexual accessories during confinement and 38% already had some in their possession! The use of these sexual gadgets is synonymous with sexual fulfillment for 79% of those questioned. And masturbation is not to be outdone, 42% of people asked during our survey, confirm that they practice sex alone, at least once a week. A habit that has not experienced any upheaval, given that 51% of those concerned felt that they had not resorted to onanism more during the periods of successive confinements. As for pornographic content, 35% admit to spending their time on it once a week, 20% once a day, 19% once a month and 7% once a year. Consumption of pornography that does not influence sexual practices for 59% of respondents. Post-containment, a sex boom? 40% of those questioned believe that the number of their sexual relations has decreased during confinement!
