For ten days, Turkey and Syria have been bereaved by the earthquake and its aftershocks which caused the death of nearly 40,000 people, according to a still provisional assessment. This violent earthquake, one of the most devastating for a century, aroused the emotion of the whole world, which came to the aid of the many victims. The Peta association, whose core mission is to defend ethics in the treatment of animals, also provided assistance.
