Zelensky continues his mobilization tour on the Old Continent. The Ukrainian president is due to travel to Brussels on Thursday for a European Union summit. “It is a strong signal that the President is personally participating in this first meeting of the year of EU Heads of State and Government, a signal of European solidarity”welcomed German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
This trip follows notable visits on Wednesday to Paris and London. In the two capitals, the same message of recognition for the aid already provided by the allies. And the same pressing demand for new heavy weapons, including combat aircraft.
“We have very little time”hammered the Ukrainian president at the Elysée. “The sooner Ukraine gets long-range heavy weaponry, the sooner our pilots get planes, the sooner this Russian aggression will end and we could return to peace in Europe.”
