Vladimir Putin admitted a “hard situation” on the ground, in the four regions which Moscow claims to annex without having completely conquered them, namely Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia and Kherson. In these regions of eastern Ukraine, the Russian army suffered serious military setbacks. And in particular in Kherson, a city which it had to leave but which it continues to bombard tirelessly.
“The situation in the people’s republics of Donetsk and Luhansk, in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions is extremely difficult”, said the Russian president. The Russian army seeks new victories on the ground, as in Donetsk where it is trying to conquer the city of Avdiivka.
