Dozens of Russian missiles sent to Ukraine. Thursday, March 9, at least six people died after massive Russian strikes across the country. According to Moscow, these bombardments were carried out using new Kinjal hypersonic missiles. The strikes notably hit the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, which had to be disconnected from the electricity grid.

In Lviv, a shooting in a residential area killed at least five people, the governor reported. On the Dnipro side, a 30-year-old died as a result of these strikes. Finally, in Kherson, local authorities announced the death of three people. These massive strikes, the largest in weeks, took place in “reprisals” to an incursion into its territory on 2 March “saboteurs” Ukrainians, says Russia.

For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky denounced the “wretched tactics” after bombings that hit nine regions of the country, including its capital kyiv, and targeted energy infrastructure. “Russia is trying to completely destroy the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine, that’s why we have to provide (it) with what to defend itself”reacted the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, from Stockholm (Sweden).
